CONTAINER PLANTING
Our Friends at the Corn Crib Nursery have invited us for our third annual evening of container gardening. This event `grows'
each year in number of participants and beautiful plants. Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 22
nd
6:00 p.m. Everyone will
meet at the Corn Crib (drive around to the side). Please make a reservation by calling the library (593-2178) to reserve your spot
at the potting bench. The event is a lot of fun and a learning experience for the novice and experienced gardeners. Corn Crib
professionals will assist in selecting plants to achieve desired color theme and proper location. Bring your own containers, or
search their wide variety for something new. Soil and plant materials are your only costs.
CEMETERY STROLL/HISTORICAL WALK
The Third Annual Stroll through local cemeteries is scheduled for June 21
st

memories and a box lunch. The Committee endeavors to keep the event new and fresh. An itinerary will be available at the front
desk as soon as the Committee makes final preparations.
WOVEN MAY BASKET
Mark your calendars for April 24
th
and join us for another hands-on-art class. This event will focus on creating a small May
basket, and one you could hang on the door of a favorite someone you wish to surprise. You may also adorn your own home with
the basket. Our instructor is certain your finished art will be completed in one evening. Ten students are needed before the class
is committed. Call the library to register. Bring a friend. Cost is being determined, but it is anticipated to be under $10.00. The
time for this class is 6:00 p.m.

major diseases and health conditions.

of our permanent collection.
CLASSES
Are you interested in reviving the art of counted cross stitch? Please call your library to let us know your interested. We will
discuss a time and date to begin. Sylvia Swegle has been gracious to volunteer and teach us all.
Scrapbooking is currently a very popular hands on craft. Several have already expressed interest in learning more about
scrapbooking. If you would like to participate as a leader or to learn more, please call the library. We are interested in setting a bi-
weekly time to scrapbook.
Do you enjoy an art form you would like to share with others either as a teacher or an observer? Perhaps you just want to get
together with a group of people who enjoy the same craft you do. Please call your library (309-593-2178) about possible class
ideas.
