Library Card 

A valid library card is required to borrow materials from the Sherrard Public Library District. Those who live with in the Sherrard School District area are eligible for a free library card. Persons wishing to obtain a card will need two forms of id. A drivers license and something with current address (ex. voter's registration card, FOID card, utility bill).    

Public Use Computers, Laptops, & Wi-fi

​There are 4 computers near the circulation desk. Each PC has internet access and Microsoft Office. An additional computer lab is available for computer classes and homework during designated hours.  Printing is available from our computers.  The lower library as well as the new community room are wi-fi accessible. 

Fax and Photocopies

Black & white copies are 10 cents, 15 cents for double sided. Color copies are 40 cents per printed page side. 

Faxes can be sent or received from our machine. Cost is $1.00 for the 1st page, 50 cents each additional page sent or received. See a staff member for assistance. 

​Notary Service

Sherrard Public Library District provides free notary service for all in our district. Notary is available Monday-Friday       10 am- 4 pm.

Book Donations

Sherrard Public Library District accepts library material donations. Donations may be added to the library collection, placed in the library book sale or disposed of at the discretion of the library. 

The Library will accept new-looking hardcover, trade and paperback books (both children’s and adult books), DVDs/CDs in original case, magazines (less than one year old) and audio-books on CD.

The Library does not accept tattered or dirty items, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, dictionaries, computer books or software, or text books. ​​
