What services are now available at the library?

Visitors may now browse the library collection without reserving materials prior to their visit.  Also available: interlibrary loan, computer lab (no gaming at this time), copies and faxes, and newspapers.

Curbside Delivery is still available for those who want a limited contact visit.

Are there services I can't use yet?

We are not yet allowing for room reservations, donations, or toys in the children's area.

What should I know about visiting the library?

Visitors are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  Library staff are working diligently to provide a safe and clean space for our community.  We are frequently cleaning high traffic areas, supervising our health, and following state and CDC guidelines.

Will the library offer programs during Phase 4?

The library is currently offering Take Home Program kits for all ages!  All programs require registration, and you must live in the library district to register.

To view upcoming programs, visit Engaged Patrons!

Is the library offering Summer Reading this year?

Yes!  Summer Reading 2020 is online at READsquared!  Registration is fast and simple, reading goals are based on participant age, and readers are incentivized with prizes and badges throughout the program!  Complete the Summer Reading Program for a chance to win a Grand Prize Basket, featuring a $50 Amazon Gift Card.

How do I return items?

All items must be returned to the library’s outdoor return so that items may be quarantined for 3 days prior to check-in.  Please note that all returned items will remain on your account for an additional 3 days.

Will I get a fine for items in quarantine?

No.  You do not have to return items early due to the quarantine period, and all fines are being waived until further notice.

Can I use Sherrard Library if I do not have a Sherrard Library card?
