Sherrard Library has NEW FRIDAY HOURS beginning Friday, Feb 6th
Fridays | Open 10 AM - 4:30 PM

Teens (ages 16-18) who are interested in a library career may apply to Job Shadow a Librarian on Tuesday, April 21st from 3-4:30 PM! During this time, participants will learn basic library circulation functions and receive information about library careers. Applications are due on March 25th. To apply, teens must email a completed application form (also available at the library's front desk), which features an essay prompt. All applicants will receive a response with their selection status. Applicants who have participated in the Job Shadow a Librarian program previously are not eligible.
Have you tried Sherrard Library's eBook apps? All Sherrard Library cardholders have free access to thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks through Libby and Palace Project! New releases, non-fiction, youth materials and more are available! Check out both apps, which sometimes feature differing content or waiting periods for popular items.
Be sure to also check out PrairieCat's online catalog, Vega, featuring new account updates! Patrons can use the online catalog to request items from the PrairieCat system, check due dates, renew items, and more. Families may be interested in Vega's account linking option, allowing cardholders to perform some functions (such as place holds) from one login. Please note: patrons will still need the account holder's library card for in-person transactions.
